about

Auguste began as a chance encounter with the lettering on an old ceramic bottle, where years of use had beautifully degraded its stenciled surface.

What started as a faithful recreation of this artifact evolved into something more ambitious: two distinct type families that honor the original's curious blend of serif and sans-serif qualities. Auguste Sans and Auguste Serif each build upon the source material's character while developing their own strong identities. They share core DNA that allows them to work seamlessly together or stand confidently apart.

Auguste Sans comes in four carefully crafted weights – Light, Regular, Medium and Bold – making it equally comfortable in body text or scaled up for impactful display use.
