Background
Bleep Dot is a reimagining of the classic Dot Matrix style typeface into a more elegant design space.Based on a standard 9-pixel height, the typeface doesn’t conform to the usual efficiencies of space. Uniform widths give way to proportions more usual in geometric sans-serifs.
The family consists of three weights. Bleep Dot Light is the more familiar style of tightly neighbouring dots. As the weight increases, the legibility becomes challenged. Whilst always being able to be read, Bleep Dot Bold feels distorted in comparison to the lighter weights.
The increased weight overshoots the baseline, and this allows the different weights to be compiled on top of each other.
